The old cellar exuded humidity and a musty smell; reluctant at first, once naked, Miriana let herself be taken over by the excitement of the game and, leaving the safety of the dark corridor behind, she turned the corner and climbed the flight of stairs to the top, giving me a challenging look as if to say: "look at me, did you think I wouldn't do it?”. Beyond that door was the outside world and she knew full well that it could open suddenly. My heart was pounding.
