In the summer, from the end of June, we moved to the family beach house. My father and my uncle, after accompanying us, went back to the city to continue the business they ran together and returned to us only in August. My mother and my aunt, after about fifteen days, started to behave differently but I didn't realize at the time that the cause was sexual abstinence. In those days, topless wasn't very common and especially in those parts it wasn't something a good mother would do. They went to sunbathe in a stretch where the rocks formed sandy coves visible only to those passing by in boats, such as the fishermen who passed by every day at the same time. There, sure that we wouldn't see them, they went topless and waited for those men in boats to pass by who greatly enjoyed the show they offered them.
